Taking a break from his Boom Boom Room residency in Chicago, DJ Mark Grant follows Marques Wyatt’s Sound Design debut for Om.  Grant is full of words to go with his music:  his liner notes speak of creating “tension and release” during his self-described “sound design” in an attempt to achieve the “perfect mix”.  With triple turntables and crates filled with Kaskade, Le Grande Boofant, Mood II Swing, Elektric Soul, Freak Sensation, Agora, The Pasadenas and more, Grant comes titillatingly close to all three.
