Chi-town aficionados may recall Mark Grant from various outings on likes of Cajual and Guidance.  Now he’s the latest producer to start his own imprint, and his first release hits the deep soulful spot for those who like their vocals without the Saturday night gloss of the mainstream soulful house mafia.  Singer Russoul strikes a pose that conjures up the image of Amp Fiddler on a housey buzz – not a bad place to be.  Grant keeps it deep and minimal with a subtle jazz flourish, leaving Andre Harris to venture into Classic territory with a set of tweaky deep acid grooves.  Promising.
